William Wallace would be Proud
August 30 - It gives me great honour to introduce the Rattray Rowdy Kilts new jersey for the 2005-2006 season. In a brand new league, with new rules and new teams, our management thought it was a perfect time to unveil a new logo to our hockey fans across the world. Out is the old RRK, and in is the "Early Claymore."  This two hand sword was used by the Great Scottish hero, William Wallace, as he and his band of lowlanders used it to lay waste to several countries north of England in 1297. Now his legacy will forever live on, through the jerseys of our players and the sweat and blood lost along the way. Best of luck to the SCHL in the upcoming season.

The Psycho Crushers are no more
August 24th, 2005 -
With great pleasure I'm proud to announce the first SCHL season coming up for GM, David Lee, he has decided to change the team name to add a more Chinese flavour.  "We are excited to announce the new team will be called the Lee Triads. I think the name change will be a great start for this first year team.  I hope this change is well received around the league as the nice logo was one of the main reasons for the change.  Our goal is to eventually develop the team's reputation to be feared, just like how the real Triads are."  Dave Lee will take full responsibility for this team name!

LeClair A Horse

August 23rd - The Horses are at it again, this time trading the 33rd overall pick in the 2005 draft to the Tornadoes for veteran John LeClair.

Horses Unveil New Team Logo
August 22nd - As the Tarpan Horses enter this new post-lockout era, we want to do so with a new face to represent the Horses organization.  So, it is with great pleasure that I announce a change in both our team logo, as well as our team colours.  We are excited about building a winning tradition in our new colours.  We are also pleased to present our captain, Mario Lemieux, who will demonstrate the new uniform and also has something to say:

“I think it’s fantastic, I love the new colours.  It will be great to see Tkachuk and the rest of the gang dressed up in the new uniform come the start of training camp.  It should help drive a bit of new life into the team and prepare us for a new season.  A new season that includes many big changes to the game on and off the ice.”

Going to the Jokers are Johnson and a 3rd rounder in 2006 in return for Karel Rachunek and a 2nd rounder in 2006. Karel Rachunek looks forward to his new teammates and has guaranteed a spot in the Silver Division for next season. "No question about it," said Rachunek "with the new system we're moving up." Jokers team captain Joe Sakic was quoted at the Olympic orientation camp "Holy crap-Mike Johnson: with him on the Jokers maybe I can win a treble: Stanley Cup, Olympic Gold and Snipers Cup all in one year." North Shore Screamin' Jawas
August 10th - North Vancouver - After much considerationizing and cerebrating, it has been unequivocalated that the Burnaby Screamin' Jawas will be dynamicating their abodeness to North Vancouver. It wasn't an easy exercision to make the declaritude, but it's the one that makes the most prudencetation in the long run. The practice facility, head office, and 2 fans of the franchise live there, as well as the GM and Owner, Cameron MacKinnon. The team will play in a contemporatory facility called The Quay. The team name will also be particulared from the Burnaby Screamin' Jawas to the North Shore Screamin' Jawas.

Pointless Trade

August 10th - The Horses sent the 14th overall selection in the Crosby draft for recently acquired Rod Brind'Amour.

The Brahmas Make Another Deal

August 6th - The Brahmas are at it again, this time trading the 6th overall pick in the Crosby draft, Anton Volchenkov and Rod Brind'Amour to the Heartbreakers for veterans Steve Yzerman, Teppo Numminen and Sami Kapanen.

Sundin on the Move

August 5th - The Brahmas continue to seek out the Silver division in 2006 with the acquisition of veteran forward Mats Sundin.  In exchange, the Brahmas sent the 4th overall pick to the Assassins, who now own the 3rd, 4th and 8th overall picks in this year's draft.

When reached for comment, GM of the Brahmas Daryl Sampson just yelled "Premier Division here I come!"

While the Assassins GM Sean Moran could not speak publicly, he did leave an announcement with a team spokesman:

It took many weeks to come to this decision, but after all the dust has settled Mats Sundin is no longer an Assassin. It was tough but GM Sean Moran felt that this was the right thing to do,  even though the fans never had a chance to see him on the ice. He made a huge impact to the fans as well as making himself easily available to the public by putting on road hockey games, golf tournaments and even "A Weekend with Mats Sundin," while we all battled through the lockout.

The few times the team had gotten together, he showed great leadership skills and really helped out the younger guys with constructive criticism, in guiding them to become better players.

Its going to be tough watching the "Big Swede" striding down the ice tallying up the point chart. We wish him the best of luck with his new team, the Brahmas, and to take it easy on us.

Sundin at his home in Sweden

"Well I found out early in the afternoon about this and uhh..I know the time was short with the Assassin organization but was still a little shaken up with disbelief, but uhh...you have to keep in mind that this is also a business and these things happen. You cant control everything".

"Im looking forward to be moving down to New York, New York and changing the way people think of hockey."

"Good luck to the Assassins and here I come Yorkies"
