JULY 11 - Well we all know what the
biggest new is today. Jagr being traded to the Washington
Capitals, for 3 no namers. I can't believe they gave him away for
nothing. But I guess that's biz.
Well here's the
pictures from the Draft lottery:

Me and Ash with all the names sorted out on the couch.

The Commish giving the teams a shake!

Ash giving the teams shake.

Here's the Flash, Jon, giving the teams a shake.

And here's the lucky winner, the Platinum Pros. It's hard to read
on here, but you can see it on the actual picture.
Commish's thoughts:
It was a great year last
year, for me anyways. hehe I think the SCHL has reached it's
highest level of involvement yet! But we still have lots left to
do. We saw some great players break out last season and some bust
picks too!! I was happy to see Lemieux return, I mean that has got
to be the highlight of the year, right? It was also nice to
see the Heartbreakers not win again! Sorry Tony, but I wouldn't want you to
come out a 3 time champ. And as for the people complaining about
rules changes! There weren't any folks. Everyone has to remember
that this is still a young pool and it is not perfect by an stretch of
the imagination. Anyways, I'll keep in touch with you guys over
the off season, I'm sure I'll send some mails out and you guys will have
to vote on a rule change here and there. =) Also, I know its the
summer, so hockey is the farthest thing from you mind, but always be courteous
and REPLY to your
emails. (i.e. trade offers!!) Some of us still try to have fun with the
pool over the summer too! Here are the awards for last season, given out
by the SCHL Brass.
All the best

Tony Roy last year was a perfect GM. He followed the pool,
